Venting Fridays is a poetry platform to be recogned with

VENTING FRIDAYS IS A POETRY PLATFORM FOR ANYONE WITH A STANZA TO RENDER

Ever wanted to spit some thoughts through poetry or read what other people have to say? If this is you, then social networks are your solution.

Tshepang Sekgororwana has a stage name Sthesh, which is his alter ego because he is naturally an introvert. It all goes back to his persona, venting out is where Sthesh comes out to play with words. He started voicing his poems as status messages on Facebook where he would post a stanza.

This grew to be a group called Venting Fridays. He almost quit writng because the emotions were becoming real and he would have gotten involved in his emotions too much but his passion for poetry helped him overcome that.

Tshepang describes VF Clothing as ; "The VF Clothing Line is not an innovative brand, but rather a re-innovative brand that aims at reclaiming and elevating Urban Street Wear. It bares the very essence of the highly vocal and opinionated youth. The Slogan is : "we venting on fabric"

The group's aim is to grab a larger audience and seeking validation, he invited people to the group to speak up and co-operate in his making his dream a reality. The name VENTING FRIDAYS came in 2012, it was inspired by Kanye West's Good Fridays: where Kanye posted a new song every Friday for eight months straight. In 2008 Tshepang wrote a book called 'The journey through words volume 1' which is currently being proof read by Millicent Shirindza.

Katlego Matjila is Venting Fabric's First Male Ambassador and Tshepang's close friend.

Tshepang has four manuscripts in the pipeline which have not been published yet. And here is the man himself:

No eagle can ever snatch his dream away from him
Venting Fabrics came as an aftermath of the success that Venting Fridays has become, the clothing line ranges from caps to t-shirts to hoodies in all sizes and clours. Here is an example of some of the designes of Venting Fabrics. He gives acknowledgement to his ambassadors among others:

Katlego Matjila, Obakeng Makweya, Mashadi Motiang, Keogotsitse Matabane, Matshidiso Motumi, Nothando Mathibela, Gomolemo Bessie, Sarah Komane, Themba Manaba, Tsholofelo Matabane, Karabo Modise, Reabetswe Matabane, Cindy Barnett, Ntebogeng Matabane, Lerato Ramogama, Nthebaleng Twala, Tshepo Mokhethwa, Kgomotso Maponyane, and Kgothatso Matabane.

Venting Fabrics has over 20 ambassors made up of people who carry the same vision as Tshepang

As the ambassodors have shown us,there are different designs of the logo that he came up with Kelebogile Letsholo and Naledi Mhangwane from Mamelodi who is a graphic designer. He gives a special  thank you to NERD REBUPLIC:

Who ensure that Tshepang's designs are forever on point and pleasing to the customer.

A group called Agape Youth Movement whose Mission is "aimed at bringing a transformation in the lives of many people around our communities to equip them with social, academic, financial and spiritual skills" sourced Tshepang on Venting Fridays and he took part in their first annual poetry session.

Tshepang recieves a certificate of participation at the AYM poetry session.
He was featured in Rekord Noweto, a community newspaper that lives to inform the people of Soshanguve,Ga-rankuwa and Hammanskraaal. His video is available on youtube called Intro by Tshepang.

Tshepang is currently studying Geography with Unisa,he studied Geography and Geology with the Universtity of Johannesburg. His uncle,David Sekgororwana is the man who has made all of these dreams come true through his financial contributions into Tshepang's business which is currently paying for his fees at Unisa.

Big ups to the uncle for caring for his future generation. He is highly grateful to Katlego Matjila (close friend) and Jay Lite (of JF Design and Services) who made VF Clothing possible.

David Sekgororwana

People are having mixed emotions of disbelief that a young, black man form the location can make a name for himself through poetry and clothing.

Mashadi Motiang and Katlego Matjila

Currently the future holds a photoshoot for Venting Fridays and Venting Fabrics which are ran on seperate terms but work together as a unit.

The theme of the photo shoot is Reclaiming the streets. The bigger picture is to re brand our childhood and adolescents of today must see what they are missing out on. it is a form of social responsibility platform, indigenous games will be played.

Kelebogile Letsholo

And his last words were "I'd like to thank everyone who has been behind this movement, from the poets who have been posting their poems, to those who have been appreciating the poems, to the VF Clothing ambassadors for endorsing the brand and to those who have spent the rand copping the brand, thanks to the maltitude for the magnitude of support, I forever stay in an altitude of greatest gratitude!'
