The online news and journalism that exist in South Africa are moving with the times, online newspapers such as IOL, Sowetan Live and the New Age are using the social networks to post links to their latest stories, to ask comments on certain issues of importance, entertainment and otherwise. There are quick links that send you straight to your favourite section of the newspaper, there are sections of the most popular stories and the stories where most people have commented most.
It is easily accessible, you just type in the website address and it appears. You have to search for the story that is making headlines for example the state of the nation address is not visible on the first page layout. It is not user friendly. It uses social media to showcase available stories on the website.
