TERRY FLEW NEW MEDIA AN INTRODUCTION

 New media (an introduction) is a book by Terry Flew that speaks about the so-called ‘new’ media being used in our everyday lives. The media is not new but it has developed over time and grown hence the ‘new’ media theme comes into place.

Chapter One deals with Why ‘new’ media? It entails internet history and how the development of the ‘new’ media has come about. Terry explains that the media we now call ‘old’ was once new hence media changes rapidly.

Chapter 2 entails twenty key new media concepts that mainly deal with the internet, how it is used and all the benefits and disadvantages it has from digital copyright to user-generated content. The two chapters are an introduction to the much needed information on how to not only be a receiver of information, but also how you as the reader can contribute. You can give your opinion through social media for instance.

 These chapters help to better understand the terms and systems used to blend in to knowing the ‘new’ media. A better way of understanding what the book is all about is through reading the contents and deciding for yourself if it is relevant or not.

IF ONLY MOVIE REVIEW

Romantic Comedies are over-rated,the plot is different but the conclusion is always that of a happily ever after...hahaha not anymore here's to what made me cry

it all begins with the couple in bed with their own litttle pack of problems. From the word go the story takes a different turn from the rest,the guy has a bad dream where his girl dies. He wakes up to see these events unfold as he had seen it,even though it was not exact, he knew it was to occur. He wisks her away on a trip and they get totally intimate, emotionally, physically and otherwise.

the guy can sense that the dream is fast becoming real, it approaches the time and he tells her why he loves her and how much he loves her. she listens carefully, the stars fill her eyes and the sun her smile even though its late at night and its raining. he is bading farewell to his lover who does notice. they climb the cab to go home,kiss passionately and yes the guy dies in the place his better half.

she sobs mournfully and one cannot help but cry with her, she explains how she did not listen to him when he tried to explain his dream. she grieves crudely and cannot believe that he is gone but we all know that life has to go on. she lives to tell the tale of a man who loved her to bits, a rare delicacy stll to be found in this world today I reckon.

Life is unpredictable and we do not always get what we want but hey we move on to see the end of our rainbows.
